Project Share

What is Project Share?

Project Share is a year-round bill assistance program to help customers who are struggling to pay their energy bills. Customers in need of help may receive up to $450 to help pay their energy bills. Project Share funds may also pay for utility reconnection fees only if disconnection of service was involuntary.

Project Share cannot pay utility deposits or past-due bills that have been turned over to a collection agency.

Funding is provided by donations from Idaho Power’s customers and owners, other utilities, and private donations. Project Share is operated through a partnership between Idaho Power, The Salvation Army, and Community Action Partnership (CAP) agencies. Learn how to donate today.

How to Apply for Project Share Funds

  1. Contact your local Salvation Army or CAP Agency office (see the lists below) to see if you qualify.*
  2. If you are approved to receive assistance, The Salvation Army will provide the payment directly to your energy provider.
  3. Customers must contact the energy provider to make payment arrangements on any remaining balances.
  4. If you still need help paying your bill, other payment assistance options are available. Learn about other ways to get assistance paying an energy bill.
