Idaho Power will support veterans and the local community in Pocatello during the company’s annual Power of Community Day, on Saturday, November 12.
Festivities start Saturday morning at the Pocatello Veterans Day Parade. A team of Idaho Power employees will participate in the parade and staff a float. The parade will feature Blackhawk helicopter and A-10 Warthog flyovers, participation from all six military branches and 17 local Veteran Service Organizations, and a Memory Walk open to anyone who wants to honor a veteran.
Following the parade, Idaho Power volunteers will participate in Idaho State University’s Rake a Difference event, raking yards for community members who have contributed $75. All proceeds go to the Pocatello Free Clinic to help local neighbors in need receive affordable healthcare.
Idaho Power frequently makes donations to community organizations across the company’s service area. To learn more — including information on how to apply for funds — visit idahopower.com/community.
