Idaho Power proudly supports of the rural communities it serves — a commitment recently demonstrated by a $2,500 donation to the Oakley Valley Arts Council. The funds will be used to repair the sagging ceiling inside historic Howells Opera House, which produces year-round musical and theatrical events thanks to the efforts of devoted volunteers.
“We are grateful for this donation that will help us continue to provide quality entertainment for our cast, crew and patrons here at the opera house,” said council president Denny Davis. “Thank you, Idaho Power, for all you do!”
Howells Opera House, located 20 miles south of Burley, has been operating since 1907. Idaho Power’s donation was delivered by Regional Customer Relations Manager Jim Mason as well as energy advisors Angela Miller and Tom Behm, who toured the historic building with Davis.
