Give the Gift of Energy Savings

No matter where you are on your holiday shopping journey—finishing up, just starting, or treating yourself—Idaho Power has some ideas to help you give the gift of energy savings:

  • Go high-tech at home with a smart thermostat. And if it’s for your own home, don’t forget to see if you qualify for Idaho Power’s $50 incentive: idahopower.com/heatingcooling.
  • Keep your loved ones warm with sweaters, blankets, or other cozy accessories. Turning down the thermostat just one degree in the winter saves about 3% on heating costs.
  • Upgrade a home office with a new laptop or tablet, which uses much less energy than a desktop computer.
  • Grow into savings with a gift certificate to a local nursery to buy a shade tree this spring.
  • Gift some glass or ceramic cookware, which allows your loved ones to bake at a temperature 25 degrees lower than the recipe recommends.
  • Make someone’s meal prep a breeze with a new slow cooker, pressure cooker, toaster oven, or air fryer.
