On Thursday, Oct. 2, Idaho Power will hold the fall edition of its Power of Community Day event at locations across southern Idaho. This biannual event has become a tradition for Idaho Power employees and their families, who enjoy the opportunity to give back to their communities.
The Oct. 2 event features volunteer opportunities in Pocatello, Hagerman, Caldwell, and multiple Boise locations. Idaho Power is partnering with Idaho State University for the Pocatello event, where a joint team of volunteers will cleanup with Red Hill Trail. The complete list of events is as follows:
- Hagerman Sheep Monument cleanup (9 a.m.)
- Idaho Veterans Garden winterization, Caldwell (1 p.m.)
- Boise Rescue Mission (2:30 p.m.)
- Red Hill Trail Cleanup with Idaho State University, Pocatello (2:30 p.m.)
- Family Advocates, Boise (3 p.m.)
- Salvation Army, Boise (3 p.m.)
- MK Nature Center, Boise (3 p.m.)
- Ridge to Rivers Trail Cleanup, Boise (3:30 p.m.)
- Adopt-a-Highway at Harrison Hollow Park, Boise (3:30 p.m.)
- Global Gardens, Boise (3:30 p.m.)
- Painting Empty Bowls at Ceramica, Boise (3:30 p.m.)
