The virtual meeting is aimed at helping customers with unique medical needs or mobility limitations prepare for power outages.
BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Power is joining Norco, the Southwest Idaho Area Agency on Aging, and the Living Independence Network Corporation to host a virtual meeting with outage preparedness information for customers with unique medical or mobility needs.
Idaho Power keeps the lights on 99.9% of the time, but extreme weather or fires can lead to extended outages. It’s important for all customers to be prepared for their unique situations in case they are confronted with an outage.
This Zoom meeting will begin at 11 a.m. on June 26. Presentations will cover the following topics:
- Preparing for outages, ensuring your contact information is up to date so Idaho Power can reach you in an emergency
- Special considerations for older adults and those with disabilities
- Using medical equipment and supplies during an outage
