Idaho Power reminds people who are planning to visit one of the many recreational sites the company manages along the Snake River to be aware that some facilities may be closed. For the latest information, visit idahopower.com/whatsopen.
Some recent updates:
- North Park campground and the adjacent boat ramp at C.J. Strike Reservoir are closed while Idaho Power upgrades docks there.
- The boat ramp and surrounding area at Twin Falls Park are closed through December for upgrades.
- The Hells Canyon Creek Visitors Center has closed for the season, but the boat launch and parking area remain open.
- Campfire restrictions have been lifted at Cottonwood Park at C.J. Strike, and at Woodhead Park in Hells Canyon, although all campers are encouraged to use extreme caution to prevent wildfire.
- The staircase leading to Deep Creek below Hells Canyon Dam has reopened. This facility is maintained by the U.S. Forest Service.
