Recent increases in spring water runoff have caused flooding in several areas of Idaho. Idaho Power is monitoring these areas for impacts to electrical equipment and encourages customers in flooded areas to think safety first.

The company urges customers to stay away from flooded or submerged electrical equipment, such as the green boxes you often see in subdivisions or anything that has electric-hazard warning signs.

If your home has been impacted by flooding, you are encouraged to call an electrician.
