Description

Located on the Oregon side of Oxbow Reservoir, three miles downstream from McCormick Park. Carters Landing is a semi-developed campground (there are no defined sites) on less than two acres.

Note: There are no reservations for overnight camping in this park. This is a first-come, first-served park and fees must be paid at the park’s fee station. Fee envelopes for cash and checks only; no credit cards accepted.

Day use in the park is free. Amenities include the following:

• No water or electric hookups
• Vault toilet
• Fire rings
• Gravel boat launch
• Garbage service

Road Status

Call 541-785-7251 to get a recorded status update about the road condition between Oxbow and Hells Canyon Dam. This road is sometimes closed due to maintenance or road conditions.

Rules

There is a 14-day stay limit for all parks.

Only one camping unit (maximum eight persons) per designated campsite is permitted.
