Idaho Power is a proud supporter of educational programs. The company recently renewed sponsorship of the Garden City Library’s mobile outreach program, Bells for Books, with a $1,500 donation. This isn’t a quiet library — local children get to explore literature on a colorful bus that has been remodeled into a bookmobile featuring more than 8,000 books! Library representatives Jason Leforgee, Suzy Cavanagh, Amy Kohlmeier, Amanda Berardinelli and Kelley McGrath were on hand to receive Idaho Power’s gift.
Bells for Books ensures every child in Garden City has access to books by making reading fun and visiting those who can’t access the main library location. The program also has a growing collection of teen, adult and bilingual books. To learn more, visit notaquietlibrary.org.
Idaho Power donations come from IDACORP shareowners and/or employee giving and do not impact customer rates. To learn more about Idaho Power’s community work, visit idahopower.com/community.
