Idaho Power employees and members of its public advisory council will meet Thursday, March 13, to discuss key elements that will drive the utility’s 20-year energy plan. It will be the sixth monthly meeting of the company’s Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council (IRPAC). The company produces an Integrated Resource Plan every two years and plans to submit its 2025 plan to regulators in June.

IRPAC meetings are open to the public. Thursday’s meeting will look at an updated energy demand forecast and an update on transmission projects. Background information and a link for attending via Webex are available at idahopower.com/irp. Meetings begin at 9 a.m. Mountain Time.

The IRPAC is a volunteer panel representing customer groups and regulators that meets with Idaho Power staff several times over a period of months to discuss the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan, which will lay out the company’s preferred portfolio of energy resources to serve customers over the next 20 years. The company enlists the help of its customers to create the IRP through the IRPAC, which includes representatives from public-interest groups, industry, and agriculture, as well as state and local lawmakers, public utility commission staff, and other interested parties.
