Low- and near low-income customers may receive free energy efficiency upgrades (up to $6,000 in value) to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption in an electrically heated home, whether they own or rent*!
If a customer is eligible, a certified weatherization auditor will visit the home to determine which energy efficiency upgrades are available. Free upgrades may include:
- New windows and doors
- Insulation and weather stripping
- Bathroom and kitchen fans
- New electric furnace, heat pump and water heater
- Light bulbs and more!
The auditor will also show customers easy changes they can make to save energy and increase the comfort of the home.
These no-cost programs are available for Idaho residents with electric heat who fit within the income guidelines. Visit idahopower.com/weatherization to review eligibility requirements and get started.
*Landlord may pay a portion of cost of improvements for rented homes.
