Making an impact can be easy. By joining, you will use wind and solar energy, and your purchase of green power will help drive demand for more renewable energy in the beautiful northwest. Your purchase also supports Solar 4R Schools, which funds solar projects and energy education for local K-12 schools.

Two Ways to Participate

Cover all or part of your energy for an extra penny a kilowatt-hour (kWh). Cancel anytime.

Block Option: $1 per 100 kWh Block

Sign up for as much as you like. Each block costs $1 and represents 100 kWh of renewable energy. For example, buying three blocks means you are using 300 kWh of renewable energy and adding only $3 to your bill. This purchase would match about 30% of the average home’s monthly energy use.

100% Option

Match 100% of your monthly energy use for an extra 1 cent per kWh. Cost is based on the amount of energy used each month and will vary as your energy use does. For example, if you use 967 kWh this month, $9.67 will be added to your bill. If the next month you use 725 kWh, $7.25 will be added to your bill.

1-Year Impact:

In 2021, Clean Energy Your Way – Flexible Option participants purchased 37,518,217 kWh of renewable energy – avoiding 11,904 tons of CO2. Participants supported these solar and wind farms in Idaho and Oregon:

Impact Since 2001:

• 422,593,479 kilowatt-hours of northwest renewable energy purchased
• 309,765 tons of CO2 avoided – comparable to removing 50,483 cars from the road
• 25 Solar 4R Schools grants awarded to local schools

Solar 4R Schools

Solar 4R Schools educates students about renewable energy by placing solar installations on school property, along with a data monitoring system and a curriculum package. This program is made possible by Flexible Option participants.
